Why We’re
All Feeling
Burnt Out
Burnout isn’t just about being busy — it’s what happens when we give and give, with little space to rest, repair, or receive.
Whether we’re balancing a demanding career, caregiving responsibilities, or both, burnout can leave us feeling depleted, resentful, anxious, depressed, and disconnected from ourselves. Especially as women, we feel overwhelmed by the unjustified expectations for us to be able to do it all perfectly.
Our modern culture glorifies the “hustle and grind”, productivity as the ultimate form of human value, and personal selflessness over tending to our real needs — often at the expense of our wellbeing.
At Workshop, we reject this narrative, understanding that rest and renewal is what actually fuels creativity, productivity, and wellbeing.
Does this sound familiar?
Small things that normally wouldn’t bother you cause anxiety and you feel chronically stressed
Despite working hard and finding traditional “success” you feel apathetic at work and think about quitting
It feels impossible to take on new things for fear of adding to an already heavy mental load
You struggle with guilt when you set boundaries or say no
You experience random health concerns: IBS, heart palpitations, insomnia, colds, you name it
You feel less motivated to go out with friends or pursue things that bring you joy
After a vacation, you feel just as fatigued and exhausted as ever, even after rest
Pretty quickly you can feel inadequate about your capabilities, despite having lots of experience and skills
IF THIS RESONATES, LET’S CONNECT

HOW WE CAN HELP
Our approach to supporting clients with burnout and work-life balance is compassionate, integrative, and grounded in real-life practicality.
We recognize the systemic, cultural, and personal factors that contribute to overwhelm, especially for women, parents, and leaders, or entrepreneurs.
We draw from a holistic lens, helping clients reconnect with their values, regulate their nervous systems, and explore sustainable rhythms that honour both ambition and rest.
We emphasize self-compassion over perfectionism, integration over balance, and embodied awareness over productivity.
Our work invites clients to reimagine success on their own terms, fostering both healing and resilience in the face of chronic stress and societal pressures.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Therapy is a unique experience, so we avoid a one-size-fits-all model when it comes to determining interventions and strategies to support your wellbeing. That said, some potential themes we might explore include:
Letting go of perfectionism and people-pleasing
Rebuilding trust in your own needs and limits
Saying no without guilt
Redefining success and self-worth
Prioritizing yourself through boundary setting and adequate self-care (not just the bubble bath type)
-
Not at all. In fact, something we feel passionate about is the fact that therapy is not just for moments of crisis. We can all use support in the regular day-to-day. It’s in the non-crisis times when we are best equipped to develop strategies for our mental wellbeing and resilience.
So yes, we support women in all stages! If you’re noticing the first signs of burnout or recovering from years of chronic stress, we are ready to support you.
